Overall responsibility for the implementation of integrity management program of the LPG production plant, focused on design, assurance and verification functions to ensure a product, projects, process, or systems meet their appropriate and intended requirements
Accountabilities
Responsible for the following:-
Monitoring day-to-day operational, engineering and maintenance activities at HCE site
Timely communication of health, safety and environment information and for supporting the project team in the implementation of AGL’s Safety and Environment Management Plan and timely implementation of shutdown works
Records management on site to be maintained and be made available to authorised personnel for inspection
Liaison with AGL management, operations manager, plant operators, contractors, customers and technicians to ensure shutdown and projects expectations are achieved
Undertake risk analysis for projects in order to manage safety, business and commercial risk to facilitate decision making and risk minimisation
Assist the following:-
Prompt resolution of all Health, Safety and Environmental issues, facilitate risk assessments, review on site inspection reports and corrective actions required, review and assist as necessary with investigation and follow up on any site incident or near miss
Project works as requested and identify process and plant improvements within the team
Ensure health, safety and environmental obligations associated with the project works are addressed, and AGL’s Life Guard system requirements are maintained
Achievements
Achieved increase plant efficiency and restricted down times from 60% to 98% by implementing a computerised maintenance management system (MEX – Maintenance Experts) that improve the plant maintenance jobs and inspections
Facilitate MEX on site to ensure that the system maintenance schedule for assets is maintained
Reduce the gas emissions reported to the EPA for Volatile Organic Compound (VOC) emissions by 93% for the process plant by implementing a Leak Detection And Repair (LDAR) program, detecting leaks from components, lines and vessels during normal operations. It also improves on safety by repairing the hydrocarbon gas leaks that are present
Designed, supervised and coordinated the manufacture and installation of several walkways and step ladders for safe personnel access to platforms in different locations within the HCE premises
Implementation of the Integrity Management Plan reviewing and establishing plans to ensure the long-term integrity of the HCE assets
